Is your mind being hijacked by food preoccupation?

Are you constantly looking for the next diet to ease your body dissastication?

Are you sick of being stuck in this cycle of Yo-Yo dieting?

You're not alone, and I can help you.

Have you noticed how the health industry and diet industry specifically operate on a one size fits all approach?

The major pitfall with this method is that as human beings we are all wonderfully unique. We are not all the same, we have different bodies, different DNA, different lifestyles, different needs. What works beautifully for one, may be completely ineffective for another. What makes one individual thrives, may make another wither.

As a student of Precision Nutrition, one of the top nutrition training companies in the world, I have learned to coach with a holistic whole body, whole person approach. This means looking at the individual in front of me, and working out what works specifically for them. Taking into consideration their needs, their lifestyle, and their health.

I believe in working with your body, treating it with respect, being mindful, and honoring its needs.

You won't find any restrictive, low-calorie diets here - as you know by now, they do not work in the long term.

This is not a diet plan, it's a way of life. It's gaining knowledge, getting equppied with an education on what makes your body thrive; so you can feel your best, energetic, strong, alive!

I want you to leave my coaching empowered with the tools, the knowledge and the understanding to look after yourself in the long term for years to come.

It's time to step away from Yo-Yo dieting.

It's time to step away from the restrict- binge cycle.

Its' time to step away from the 'all or nothing' mindset.

It's time for food to regain it's rightful place as an enjoyable part of your life, not you're entire life.

It's time to embrace food freedom!

Lets' get to work!

Key Coaching Areas of Practice

My coaching practice is based on achieving mastery of a set of core skills and practices.

  • Learning to Plan, Prioritise, and Prepare

This skill focuses on making change a priority in your life. Failing to plan is planning to fail. One of the main reasons my clients say they have made unhealthy choices is from lack of planning which has led to eating junk or convenience food because that was all that was available. In this practice, you start to take small but meaningful actions towards your goals.

  • Regulate Eating Behaviours

This area of practice involves becoming more in tune with your body again. It is sometimes difficult to establish what is a physiological hunger cue and what is a psychological or conditioned hunger cue. You will practice eating slowly and mindfully so you can begin to eat when you are hungry and stop when you are full. This step is also about normalising eating behaviours and building on the planning and preparation skill so that you are healthy balanced meals rather than snacking.

  • Matching energy intake to needs

Calories are the unit of measurement for your body’s energy expenditure. This skill involves making sure that you are getting the right amount of energy to meet your health and body composition goals.

  • Choose higher quality foods more often.

In this area of practice you will be encouraged to establish a criteria for what it means to eat ‘better.’ This means choosing whole, minimally processed foods whenever possible and beginning to experiment with some different foods which you may not have thought to try before.

  • Getting adequate nutrients

This skill builds upon the whole, minimally processed food intake and introduces the hand size portion method for measuring food intake. Using the hand size portion method is an easy way to judge your macronutrient intake and more sustainable for real life when you may be busy or eating out. It will help you get the right balance in your diet without having to track and weigh out your food.

  • Move well and often

This area of practice is building a sustainable routine of physical activity into your life which is enjoyable and will support your goals.

  • Rest and Recovery

Not to be underestimated, rest and recovery is a vital part of your overall fitness regime. This practice includes getting enough sleep, creating routines and an atmosphere which will promote restful sleep, and doing purposeful recovery.

  • Creating a supportive environment

You want to create an environment at home and at work which will help you reach your health goals. Enlist the help of your friends and family and explain what you are trying to accomplish. Remove temptation from your home and fill your pantry with whole nourishing foods.

  • Regulate emotions without food

The final area of practice is learning to identify the sensations, emotions and drive you have to eat and learning to manage them. You will learn to separate the urges from the behaviour and make healthier choices more of the time.

The Nutrition Coaching Membership

The virtual nutrition coaching membership is like having a your nutrition coach in your pocket.

The coaching begins with the initial intake form where you will be asked to complete your health history and goals.

Then depending on your level, you will be assigned tasks from the areas of practice to follow. Oftentimes, clients want to begin all the areas of practice at once, but I believe it is more sustainable to start where you are and build on the good practices.

You will be assigned practices to complete, workout videos based on your fitness level and taking into account any injuries. You are also encouraged to start and maintain your "Owners Manual" to record how your body feels, what works for you, and what doesn't. The app will remind your to check-in daily and score your progress on each area of practice.

In the advanced membership, you can choose to keep a photo food journal which I can review and provide feedback on. You can also message me with any questions.

The memberships also include access to the Nutrition 101 and Conquer Emotional Eating videos and workbooks and a library of nutrition coaching resources.
